Uganda Cranes easily overcame Lesotho Crocodiles in the first leg of AFCON 2019 qualifiers at Namboole with three goals to nil.
Emmanuel Okwi whose solution couldn’t be discovered by Mafa Moremoholo and Co managed two goals and influenced one for Farouk Miya whose penalty kick could not be stopped by Lesotho’s goalie Mohau Kuenane.
In spite of the convincing win which took the East African side to top of Group L with seven points, three ahead of second place Cape Verde, Okwi lectures that there is still obstacle for the Cranes.
“There is still a hurdle. On Tuesday we have another game, it’s gonna be tough in Lesotho. So we just need to prepare ourselves mentally and to know that nothing comes easy. We need to keep focused and work harder.”
Excited Sébastien Desabre already left with the boys to Lesotho this early morning for the reverse fixture slated to take place on 16th October 2018 at the Setsoto Stadium.
