KCCA goes through, Shaban on target.

KCCA FC goes through to the semifinals of the Uganda Cup for the second consecutive time by beating Kitara FC in the quarter finals a goal to nil.

The Kasasiro boys’ golden goal was masterminded by Denis Okot who crossed at the 9th minute before Muhammad Shaban gave life to the ball.

KCCA as usually met manager Mike Mutebi’s expectation by playing what he teaches them, creating chances except converts minimal.

Goal scorer Shaban appreciates their opponents however added his side was the best hence secured the victory.

“The ground was not all that good. The team was okay, yeah. The team was very good on the ball [KITARA]. But the best team of course won.”

The side from Hoima had chances to make a statement but goal Keeper Tom Ikara shut them up.

Raymon Milla forced the former KCCA man in between the pole to a save whereas skipper Timothy Awany ensured their goal lead remained protected by clearing critical ball at the line.

The quarter finals of the cup continues on Sunday 22nd April as KJT plays SC Villa at Star Times Stadium, Lugogo. Synergy versus Proline at Masaka Recreational Stadium and Kansai Plascon tries their luck from Vipers SC at Naro Ntawo playground.
