Okello saves KCCA, Onduparaka tamed by Maroons in Arua.

Okello scored twice in the last ten minutes for KCCA to beat spirited 10-man UPDF as they picked crucial wholesome points and keep the race for the title competitive.

Relegation endangered Bombo side frustrated the Kasasiro boys for more than an hour before Allan Okello descended on them with deadlock breaking goal at the 80th minute.

As the visitors were yet to react, the Uganda U20 had finished them on the 86th minute with a killing goal.

UPDF goal keeper Bashir Ssekajja gave the army team strength to sustain a goalless play time for 80 minutes as he calculatingly disallowed Patrick Kaddu’s attempts in two occasions from becoming goals.

Okello who has been exceptional in Mike Mutebi’s selection in most engagement this season has now a total 3 goals in the domestic league.

Sulaiman Majanjalo was shown a red card at the 71st minute following a reckless challenge on Okello.

As a result of the defeat, UPDF remains 12 on the table with total of 25 points, six a head of bottom three, Express, Proline and Masavu who have two matches at hand except Masavu who has one.

Meanwhile with the win, KCCA displaces Vipers SC from the second spot. They now have 43 points, sit three points behind table leaders SC Villa who have played a game more.

KCCA will continue with title race at Luzira prison grounds on April 12th as they will be hosted by Maroons who put to pause Onduparaka’s winning streak on Monday.

Whilst in Arua at the Green Light Stadium, Onduparaka couldn’t carry on with their winning ways as the failed to replicate the results they had in their previous two matches.

A goalless draw at Paruku only added a point for the Arua side but left them stagnant on the 5th place whereas Maroons moved 6th with 32 points.

Onduparaka will play their next match against KCCA FC on April 17th, at home.
