Sanchez played his first match for Manchester United during the encounter with League two side Yeovil town in the FA Cup fourth-round in which the Premier League giants triumphed with four unreplied goals.

Meanwhile Ander Herrera enjoyed the presence of the new kid, Sanchez as he was assisted to double United’s lead at the 61st minute whereas a minute to official end time Jesse Lingard made it three, before substitute Rumelu Lukaku made a final statement in the injury time.

Sanchez presence was tangible

Although he lost possession to the opponent a couple of times in the early stages of the game, the 29 year old Chilean’s movements were quickest, filled with determination, no wonder Yeovil left-back Nathan Smith kept giving him hard tackles as part of the solution to neutralize the threat he could be.

Besides the two chances he created, Alexis Sanchez made six key passes, four more than any other player on the pitch although he was replaced by Lingard at the 72nd minute.

His performance earned him a man of the match award. An award that Yeovil Town FC disputed in their twitter handle as they related it commercialization.

“Alexis7 is announced as man of the match. Not sure who picked it but that’s a commercially-driven decision if ever there was one.” Reads the dispute.
