Ndugwa and Bida score for Onduparaka to emerge victors in the encounter with UPDF at the Green Light Stadium.
UPDF took the lead at the 37 minutes through Mustapha Dongo’s efforts in spite of a seemingly impressive early good start by Onduparaka.
The Caterpillar’s home pride got restoration at the 40th minutes before a complete restoration was experienced at the 56th minutes.
Following Dongo’s easy goal resulting from Simba Sabir’s laxity, it took Onduparaka only 3 minutes to level the scores.
Attacking midfield virtuoso Gadafi Gadinho master minded a goal which Bida Ezra scored without hesitation.
A complete come back was effected by highly criticized Karim Ndugwa who scored at the 57th minutes by a header from Simba’s headed pass.
Ndugwa could have scored earlier if not for an inch denial by the woodwork in the first half. Given his performance Forte Bet voted him the man of the match earning himself a trophy besides cash price of UGX 100,000.
Livingstone Mbabazi’s side could still have taken the first lead if not for the hard luck as Bida Ezra’s attempt on goal was cleared on the line and still a rebound was not clinically finished by Kakooza
In some occasions ever scintillating goal keeper Nicolas Sebwato was the savior of the day frustrating UPDF’s on goal attempts.
The win is the 6th in 13 games for Onduparaka and positions them in the 4th place with 22 points, 6 behind table leaders SC Villa.
Whereas UPDF looks settled in the least relegation zone after their 9th defeat. Having only won a match this season, they’ve managed to collect only 6 points.
The Azam Uganda premier League takes long break for 3 weeks and will return on the 19th December with confident Ndugwa leading attack for the Arua side against Masavu at the Fisheries Institute in Bugonga-Entebbe as UPDF will away to Maroons at Luzira Prison Grounds.
