Karisa scored the only goal for vipers in the fixture against BUL FC to enable Vipers collect maximum points.

The former Bul FC forward, Karisa headed into the net Yayo Lutimba’s attempted shot after failure to materialize at the 41 minutes.

Being the first victory for the Kitende based side, their head coach regarded the win as massive and admitted the game being difficult.

“It is a massive win for us, the game was not easy but most importantly, and we got maximum points today. I believe this motivates us going forward” said Miguel Da Costa.

Meanwhile at Kavumba recreational ground, Osama Farouk Wejuli gave Soana FC the lead before new signing from Proline equalized for Bright stars to ensure the game to end in a draw.

Substitute Sheif Batte crossed from the left wing for former Onduparaka winger Farouk Kawooya who set up the goal for the Bright visitor’s captain. Sekantuka said it was a hard fought point away from home and promised to end the season with 15 goals. Below were his own words;

However Kiwanuka was not impressed with the final result nevertheless liked how quick his boys responded after conceding a goal.

“It is not a satisfactory result but I liked the way the players responded quickly after conceding a goal.” Said Bright Stars boss.

Vipers tops the table with four points, Soana and Bul FC are twelve and thirteen on the table respectively with a point each, Bright Stars is fourth on the table with two points.

Bright Stars will visit western Uganda to face Mbarara City FC on Tuesday 19th Sept 2017 as Soana Hosts Masavu.

Meanwhile on Saturday 23rd September Vipers SC host SC Villa whereas Bul FC will be in for a derby with Kirinya JSSS at Bugembe Stadium.
