We Are Ready To Challenge Most Teams, Says Mbarara City FC Player Nuwagaba Gereves

Nuwagaba Gereves believes Mbarara city FC will be a force to reckon in the Azam Uganda premier league as long as the fans come to support the team.

Mbarara FC is amongst the three newly promoted teams to Uganda’s top tier football competition the Uganda premier League.

One of the players Nuwagaba Gereves believes the training given to them as players is sufficient enough to face the hugest task the club has ever come across, that is playing their first ever game in the UPL.

The midfielder explained how prepared the team from western Uganda is for the league that opens tomorrow.

“….talking about our team, we are well prepared. Like we’ve had so many training sessions, our coach has prepared us very well, we have the best players, and the team has signed new good players, and the team is very ready to compete and to challenge most of the teams that have been in the league.” Said Nuwagaba.

 He didn’t refute the fact that as first timers challenges will be there however emphasized that results will be noticed due to their determinations. Below are his own words;

“Like being our first time in the Azam Premier League, it will be a challenge to some extent but we are very ready and determined to play. Yeah they might be big because they have been in the league but we have the heart and we are so much determined. Everything starts from a single point, this will be our start to challenge them and they will see the challenge, I guarantee you that we shall make.”

As the team visits BUL FC in Jinja at Kakindu Stadium, the confident and positive player believes with support from fans the world could witness their first victory in the top league.

“Talking about the game tomorrow, our team has been set in a very good way, the coaches have given their all, the players are so much determined and this is to all our fans, we beg you to come and support the team cause it’s by your support that we can make it through and be champions” Concluded Nuwagaba

The fixture between the Western Uganda side and Eastern Uganda side will take place on Tuesday 12th Sept 2017 at 4:00pm.
