Bugembe became unrecommendable by Uganda Premier League Secretariat due to its appalling state the previous season.
Although Sadolin paints and Kirinya Jinja SS were allowed to consider the stadium as their home ground in the first round of 2016/2017 season, the worsening state led to its disapproval hence the two clubs shifted.
Whereas relegated side Sadolin paints relocated to Namboole, Kirinya who transferred to Kakindu stadium has now confirmed their return to the Kyabazinga Stadium. Speaking to Futta.ug KJSSS C.E.O, Kongola Ahmed said;
“We have made our minds to return back to Bugembe stadium.”
This then means Bugembe stadium and people of the locality will have a team to watch and support in the country’s first tier competition. In fact Ahmed explained the advantage attached to their return;
“We expect to increase our fan base by adding those from Bugembe. They gave the club good support last season and we expect double now that they don’t have any other club”
Besides increase in fan base, the club also expects increase in gate collection due to the fact that the stadium is well fenced compared to Kakindu which had some loopholes that allowed fluke free entrance.
