Mbarara City rubbed shoulders with Vipers SC in a preseason Friendly match played at Kakyeka stadium on Wednesday.

The Azam Uganda Premier League newly promoted side surprised their experienced opponents Vipers by notching the goal that put them in charge, if not for grace Vipers wouldn’t have settled for one all draw.

Bebeto Swalik scored a well curved opener for Mbarara City past Ismail Watenga at the 31st minute and remaining 14 minutes were played with Richard Makumbi’s boys leading.

De Costa’s tactical application of ten changes with the exclusion of Nicolas Wadada turned the game and yielded results.

Substitute Mousa Mbayi’s second half fabulous goal at the 64th minute leveled the scores for De Costa’s boys. Mbayi put Lutimba Yayo’s cross past Kimera Ali and the remaining minutes were played without any more goals inspite of efforts from Aziz Kemba and Mbayi.
