Sadam Juma’s signing brought excitement to entire KCCA FC family unfortunately was unable to feature due to policies of CAF that didn’t endorse the timing.
This afternoon KCCA FC will be facing FUS Rabat in group match fixture that is key to determining the chances of the Lugogo side from qualifying for the quarter finals of CAF confederation Cup.
However KCCA coach Mike Mutebi believes strongly in the team’s ability to rub shoulders with FUS Rabat considering the fact that psychological they seem fit.
“We are very well prepared, have no injury worries I think the most important part of the preparation is psychology of the players. I think the phycology this time is better than before.” Said Mutebi.
Sadam’s inclusion in the squad is a force to reckon, according to Mutebi, Sadam’s absence because of ineligibility negatively affected the psychology of the players and his presence today will be added advantage.
“…of course with inclusion of players like Sadam Juma. Last time we played first, we thought we’d play him but unfortunately we did not manage to play him and there is a way it affected the psychology of the players but thank God the same fixture where we expected him to play, he is going to play at home and I think there is something he is going to add in the believe and the psychology of other players so our preparation psychologically I think is good.” Added the tactician.
The home team looks very confident given the fact that they are double winners in domestic league and cup and have tasted the noble level in the continental competition. Mutebi explains more;
“Actually we may be able to present our best team of the season come tomorrow and I think our best team of the season is supposed to deliver results and the results is we must win in order enhance our chances of getting to the quarter finals cause if we win here then we’ll plan away.”
The team that has much hope on Sadam seats last on the log because of low goal difference as Club Africain tops the group and then FUS Rabat followed by Rivers United.
Today’s encounter with Moroccan side at the Star Times Stadium Lugogo previously known as Philip Omondi could make the difference if they win with convincing goal margin.
