Sserunkuma scored the only goal against Cape Verde 12 years ago at the Mandela national stadium during the 2006 world cup qualifiers in 2005 and the KCCA striker is optimistic about victory for the cranes tonight.

“The Cape Verdeans play a flowing game but we managed to keep them silent at Namboole hence the win when I scored. However they are home on Saturday but we are hopeful of getting three points” Said Sserunkuma

I understand their style of play and when to catch them off guard. We are confident with the players we have here’ added Sserunkuma.” Added the striker

Although it is not clear if Sserunkuma will be Micho’s favorite in the attacking role, the 34 – year – old is amongst the other seven players that have landed their feet in Cape Verde.

According to Fufa website, Besides Sserunkuma, Dennis Onyango is another player that will not feature in the game.

Reports from the same site also shows that Emmanuel Okwi, Bernard Muwanga, Robert Kakeeto, Isaac Muleme, Derrick Nsibambi, Muhammad Shaban and two officials by the names Crispus Muyinda Nsereko Hamza Kawuma had already reached Cape Verde.

Meaning Denis Onyango, Nicholas Wadada, Godfrey Walusimbi, Timothy Awany, Murushid Jjuuko, Hassan Wasswa Mawanda, Khalid Aucho, Farouk Miya are yet to land.
