Shaban initially was amongst the 40 man team summoned by head coach Micho but the Onduparaka striker was not seen training with the national team and neither did he participate in the recent regional tour in which cranes beat the Kitara region 3 – 1.
Jagason Shaban’s absence has been because of considering himself injured and ill. Few days ago, in a telephone communication Shaban told Micho to pardon him from the responsibility because of suffering from malaria and need to fully recover from injury.
Good news for Cranes is the young and quick striker is ready for the challenge. Speaking to Daily monitor, Micho said Shaban is amongst the few remaining players that joined the rest of the players that had gotten started.
According to Micho Shaban is fit, soccer 256 believes considering how competitive Shaban is, the striker has higher chances of making it to the final bunch required to fly on Thursday to Addis Ababa.
Amongst others yet to join the team before last trimming is done are Khalid Aucho who will jet in this evening, Dennis Onyango and KCCA players.
