Chelsea Shows Champions Spirit in beating Everton

It is no longer a possibility but certainty that Chelsea Football Club could be crowned the Champions of English Premier League of this season very soon inspite of Spurs pressure. As Everton was thought to be a thorn in the flesh, somewhere somehow in the second half The Blues got their first, second and third goal to render Lukaku and Everton less harmful.

Especially the Pedro goal showed a Champions spirit, at 66th minute he made a white and black distinction between the two sides with a commendable 25 yards shot. Thirteen minutes later Gary Cahill notched a security goal before Spaniard international Francesc Fabregas assisted Willian to completely drain Everton’s hopes four minutes to full time.

The coach and players celebrated as though the trophy was in their hands after Chelsea beating Everton 3 – 0 to give themselves four points clear deference with their follower Tottenham Hotspurs who derailed the Gunners at the North London Derby.  Speaking to BBC Sports, Conte said;

I must be relaxed when we win but I think it’s important to celebrate this win with the players and fans.”

Yet The Blues Boss acknowledge the how vital it is to win the remaining fixture otherwise understands what could be at stake given the fact that Tottenham as well wants the trophy.

“I think we must continue this way – to play game by game and take three points in every game. We know every win in this part of the season is very important.” Said Conte

Whilst Everton Coach Ronald Koeman admitted that, inspite good performance by his team that pushed them for three quarters of the match, their opponent’s quality won the game for them. Chelsea plays Middleborough at the Stamford Bridge next week on Monday 8th as Everton visit a team in the relegation zone Swansea on Saturday 6th May.
