Soana Repositions After Beating Tensioned Onduparaka with A 2 – 1 Victory

Onduparaka's Muhammad Shaban Jagason waiting ready to recieve and strike

Kampala – Soana FC experiences relief after putting to sword desperate Onduparaka FC at Kavumba recreational ground. Inspite of the recent two nil defeat to Vipers away from home, they changed things around after comfortably beating the Caterpillars with two goals to one. First 18 minutes of the match showed determination of the away team unfortunately goals were not witnessed but instead corner kicks.

Ema Kalyowa and Siraj Turyamureba each scored to give the home side a comfortable Lead within 3 three minutes time, before substitute Shaban Muhammad Jagarson’s introduction in the beginning of second half to replace Faizul Anini gave the Arua side the only goal of the day, taking his season tally to 12. Much as Ceaser Okhuti and Shaban made attempts that could result into goals to settle scores, they were unfortunately denied by the cross bar and a rebound.

Soana’s win over The Caterpillars gives them position six on the table displacing Mbabazi Livingstone’s side to seven. They will host second place SC Villa on 6th May 2017 at the same ground in which they brought Onduparaka to their knees whereas The Caterpillars will have a huge encounter at the Paruku Stadium against another giant side Express FC on 5th May 2017.

The Red Eagles lost to KCCA recently at Wankulukuku a goal to nil hence stands fifth on the table, look angrier and hungrier for a win yet the Caterpillars record at home against big sides shows no survival for giants, with KCCA, Villa and Vipers all being victims. Question then remains Shall Express break jinx against giants and cause Onduparaka to lose at the bet way Greenlight stadium for the first time or shall the home said carry their legacy on?
