Sanchez Extra Time Strike Earns Arsenal the Right to Participate In the FA Cup Finals

Arsenal knocked superior side Manchester City out of the semifinals of the Emirates FA cup after Alexis Sanchez scored ‘The Gunners’ the winning goal in the Extra time inspite of a more commanding performance by Guardiola’s side with Yaya Toure dominating the midfield and the team having hilarious possession over insecure Arsenal side.

The first half was seen to be enjoyable mostly by City however Olivier Giroud posed a threat with his head after his header was saved by Manchester city’s goal keeper. Skipper Laurent Koscielny attempted to score for Arsenal unfortunately the referee considered it an offside.

Likewise Sergio Kun Aguerio’s goal was cancelled as the linesmen’s sharp eyes were able to detect Sane’s well curved but off field cross. Whilst Arsenal lost touch with the ball when attacking, a backfire was witnessed in which Toure had a long pass that Aguero was fast enough for, beating Nacho Montreal, and chipping the ball over Petr Cech into the net.

Possibly man of the match Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain crossed the ball from the right flank to meet mentally ready Montreal who shot at the back of the net leveling the scores. A one all draw provoked an extra time which became a chance for Arsenal to win the game. From corner kick, Sanchez scored with his right foot to give the gunners the lead.

Arsene Wenger’s boys now qualify for the Finals of the competition in which they will battled with Premier League title hopeful Chelsea which defeated Tottenham Hotspurs in a difficult encounter that ended four – two in favor of The Blues last Saturday.
