Tony Odur’s brace earns Vipers maximum points from fixture against cheeky Soana

Kampala – The league is coming to an end and it’s anticipatable and imaginable to guess possible champions of which Vipers SC is doubt-able. Bearing in mind that in the recent times, the Entebbe road side has struggled to win matches, Miguel De Costa must be smiling on his way back home after emerging victorious against 7th place Soana in a competitive meeting between the two.

Tony Odur whose been challenged for a first IX position in the squad appeared on the score sheet with two goals to his name. The 33-year-old Ugandan striker first scored by the 24th minute and doubled the lead in the second half before the 90’.  Kizito, Wangi and Wadada had scoring chances but never made meaning out of them. This is the first win for Vipers this month in all competitions. First played a goalless draw with Sadolin paints, then lost to Paidha black Angels in Uganda cup, and lastly suffered defeat to Police away.

The victory means from 6th place vipers climbs 5th with 39 points after playing 24 games. Onduparaka which is slated to host Sadolin Paints on Saturday 22nd April 2017 then automatically gets displaced to 6th place. Soana remains 7th with 36 points and 24 games played. Somewhere else, the Saints played a one all draw with Proline courtesy of Suleiman Majjannjaro and Bayo Fahad goals respectively. Meanwhile The Saints climbs to 12th after 26 games played with 27 points whereas Proline 8th with 31 points and 25 games played.
