Jurgen Klopp almost lost the game away against Stoke City when he gave chance for young players to battle on behalf of Liverpool. Record shows Liverpool finds it a challenge to beat teams in the bottom half of the table and the first 45 minutes lose to Stoke was a confirmation until the introduction of the Brazilian duo.
Just a minute before whistle for the end of first half was to be blown, Jonathan Walters was assisted by Xherdan Shaqiri to head the ball into the net giving home side the lead. Immediately as second half began, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino were brought in to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn respectively.
Impact of the two Brazilian players was felt with the two goals that came in two minutes, first Coutinho equalized with a brilliant shot from the center of the box and later Firmino notched the winning goal with a long range shot from about 22 yards and the scores miraculously changed to one-two in favor of the visitors.
After a fourth consecutive defeat, Stoke drops to 13th on the table and the triumphant come back for the Kops keeps them 3rd on the table. Liverpool will visit West Brom on Sunday 16th April whereas Stoke City will host Hull City on Saturday 15th April.
