Azam Uganda Premier League Updates: Onduparaka Beats Lweza FC, Shaban On Score Sheet.

Arua – Less than a week ago, Onduparaka and Lweza had appalling results in the UPL, where the Caterpillars failed to defend their only goal lead against JMC and Lweza was pathetically beaten by Soana at home in Wankulukuku. Today’s clash meant real battle for victory because Lweza needed a must win in order to get well repositioned on the table as Onduparaka needed to meet the expectations of their fans.

Shaban Muhammad who suffered goal drought due to variable reasons ranging from absence of luck, suspension, and injuries finally resuscitated from the bad omen by scoring the only goal of the match. By 31st minute, assist master Gadafi Gadinho gave a unique pass that Shaban controlled on his chest and turned 1800 to fire the ball past Lweza’s goal Keeper who was left seated helplessly on the ground.

Shaban in a facebook post said, “I thank God that I’ve scored on my return after missing out several matches due to injury”

The Caterpillars second goal got cancelled as Ceaser Okhuti used his hands to direct the ball into the net. Shaban in a pursuit for brace that would take his goal tally to 12 collided with the goal keeper and got injured, carried off hence substituted by 60th minute. Agau Rashid and Gadafi put up a remarkable regional class display of skill and talent that wowed the crowd.

On the other side, Lweza FC had two players red carded due to fouls and arguing with match officials. Victory means Onduparaka displaces Vipers which played goalless draw against Sadolin Paints yesterday from 4th position. Whereas Lweza’s Lose leaves them still at the relegation zone, 14th on the table with 22 points.
