“Wenger Out” Campaign Continues as Arsenal Loses Again

The comfortable win Arsenal had over Lincoln a few days ago in the FA cup would make anyone think Arsenal had rediscovered their winning ways but in the English Premier League, West Brom prepared something different for the gunners.

West Brom which happens to score more goals than any other club in the EPL this season as a result of corner kick notched two identical goals from corner kick hence overwhelming Arsenal. Home team got their first goal in the 12th minute from Craig Dawson who jumped highest to head the ball from Nacer Chadli’s cross.

In just two and half minutes Alexis Sanchez leveled the scores. Grant Xhaka assisted the Arsenal danger man Alexis Sanchez who had the impunity to control, cut inside and discharge the ball into the roof of the net taking his season goal tally to 18.  By this time a flying banner in the air showed ‘IN ARSENE WE TRUST. #RESPECTAW.’

In the second half, Hal Robson-Kanu’s first touch ended up a goal. Robson-Kanu utilized a chance given to him by David Ospina, Robson tapped the ball which went under and through Ospina’s legs. Arsenal player’s protest a foul against them was not considered by center referee after consulting his assistant Neil Swarbrick.

Danny Welbeck tried an attempt on goal but his header hit the bar on the 67th minute. Hul Robson-Kanu’s attempt to score the third was frustrated by Ospina but later at the 76th minute Dawson did exactly what he did before, while West Brom took a corner, he ran past Oxlade and elevated himself above everyone to access the ball which he headed into the net and immediately ‘WENGER OUT’ bans began to display.

The North London side giants seat 5th on the table and could be displaced if Manchester United wins against bottom placed Middleborough on Sunday 19th. Match day winners West Brom seats comfortable 8th on the table with 29 games played.
