Kcca Maintains Winning Streak Whereas Vipers Rejuvenates

Kampala – The AUPL table leaders KCCA FC matched into the Champions stadium Matugga with confidence to face Saints Fc after their famous win over the most followed soccer club in Uganda Onduparaka a week ago.

In the first half, both home and away teams had attempts to score but denied due to various reasons ranging from off target, on target saved by goal keeper but finally deadlock got broken by Geoffrey Sserunkuma.

33 years old top scorer Sserunkuma notched the only match day goal for defending champions in the 57th minute assisted by Robert Sentongo taking his tally to 12 goals. The Kasasiro boys are leading the table with 41 points, 13 wins and 18 games played.

Whereas Kakindu was a blessed ground for Vipers who finally stole a victory from Bul Fc. With the recent frustration felt by demanding fans of Kitende side, Vipers made it a point to Visit Jinja and return with 3 points.

Jinja side took the lead at the 38th minute when Oromchan utilized the chance created by a rebound and volleyed it beyond Ismael Watenga. 58th minute penalty created by Hakim Magombe who brought down Karisa Milton was scored by Madoi Aggrey leveling scores.

Interruption created by Bul Fc fans brought game into standstill at the 62nd minute however Brian Nkuubi puts the visitor in charge of game with a well converted free a minute before full time.

Vipers’ climbs ahead of Onduparaka on the 3rd position with 32 points, 8 wins and 19 games played. On the other side match day loosers Bul Fc remains in the relegation red line zone with 16 points, 3 wins and 19 games played.
