Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in Germany

Real Madrid bounced from behind to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern took charge with the first goal of the game scored by Joshua Kimmich but a clinical finish by Marcelo before first elapsed and Marcos Asensio’s second half beauty ensured a complete comeback for the defending champions.

Real Madrid defense was opened up following a neat interchange by Bayern players and presented fullback Kimmich chance to smash past Kelor Navas at the 28th minute.

Meanwhile with a half volley Brazilian left back Marcelo leveled matters at the 44th minute whereas substitute Asensio during a counter attack made not mistake after receiving a pass square pass from Dani Carvajal to put the visitors in charge.

A reckless play by Rafinha following an attack costs the Bundesliga giants as his mistake resulted to the goal Asenso’s goal.

It was during an attacking mode by the home side when Rafhina gave the ball away to Asensio who committed to Dani Carvajal before the defender released it back for the 22 years old to net.

Champions League top scorer Ronaldo missed to extend his tally to 16 as his goal was ruled out for handball.

Lewandowski, Frank Ribery and Muller had scoring opportunities two but were not utilized accurately hence the six consecutive defeat Bayern suffered to Real Madrid.

Condition calls for Bayern to score twice at the same time prevent Real Madrid from scoring in the return leg next week on Wednesday to get a chance of stopping the European champions from pursuing another Champions League trophy.
