Shaban Muhammad scored four times against frail URA as KCCA in a nine goal thriller annihilated the tax collectors at the Star Times Stadium-Lugogo.
The Cranes international opened match day account in the first half before URA’s Jimmy Kulaba levelled scores but a second effort from the KCCA FC striker ensured Mike Mutebi’s team go to rest leading by 2-1.
Second half came with goals raining peculiarly through the 21-year-old’s feet alongside Paul Mucureezi, goal instigator Allan Okello, and joy to watch Patrick Kaddu as Saidi Kyeyune’s effort was way too less to settle matters.
It was at the 9th minute of the first half when Julius Poloto assisted Muhammad Shaban to open the scores with a diving header before Kulaba pulled one for URA at the 27th minute.
Two minutes to half time Midfielder Kirabira enabled Shaban to complete a brace as the former Onduparaka striker returned at the 56th minute to complete his hat trick.
Meanwhile three minutes following KCCA’s third goal, Paul Mucureezi nets the fourth goal as Shaban reappeared in the score sheet for the fourth time in a single match with his poker at the 77th minute.
Kyeyune’s 79th minute goal reduced the score margin to three giving URA their second goal but Allan Okello and Patrick Kaddu’s efforts at the 90th and 90+ stretched the goal margin more than before as KCCA for a record spanked visitors URA 7-2.
KCCA FC who are known for registering the biggest wins the past season does it again this time uniquely.
Mike Mutebi has often talked about how impressive his boys are because of actualizing his theories as far as style of play is concerned all though goals have been limited but worried less.
He had believe that passing football played by the Kasasiro boys results to the numerous chances created and maybe in future goals would come and indeed the 7-2 win is a dream come true to the 48 years old tactician.
KCCA FC increases in points to 48 in 24 games but remains third on the log in spite of the victory as Vipers who beat Masavu 3-1 over took SC Villa from the top spot on goal difference and now with 49 points in 24 games lead the table.
On the other side wretched URA FC is stagnant with 31 points in 25 games and is seated 8th on the log.
