Roberto Firmino scores last to frustrate a determined Arsenal from taking over

Firmino scored last in a six goal thriller that involved Coutinho, Salah, Sanchez, Xhaka, and Ozil as the other scorers.

The English Premier League witnessed one of the most breathtaking performances produced if not in the recent seasons then this season as Liverpool draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Before Firmino who has been involved in eight goals in his last five domestic league encounters with the North London side made the final say of the game, Coutinho gave the visitors the first lead and Mohammed Salah doubled it to put Jürgen Klopp’s side in total charge of the game.

Meanwhile, un expectedly it only took Arsene Wenger’s boys five minutes to make a total complete comeback as Sanchez inspired the first, followed by Xhaka before Ozil closed the chapter of goals for the home side.

The Brazil international pushed Petr Cech to his limit as a save remained impossible resulting to the equalizer at the 71st minute.

The scintillating game was for either of the sides to take given the threat their attacker posed each time they attack but fate determined a draw would do.

The shared point resulting from the draw gives the Reds the right to remain fourth with 35 points, one a head of fifth place Arsenal who possess 34 points.

Before the New Year, the Gunners will play Crystal Palace on Thursday 28th December 2017 whereas Firmino will lead attack again for Liverpool as they battle with Swansea on Tuesday 26th December 2017 the Anfield.
