KCCA destroyed league debutants Masavu FC in a six goal thriller as the Kasasiro boys record remarkable win with a huge goal Margin.
The defending champions break the goal jinx they and whole league suffers during the destruction of appalling Entebbe side Masavu with goals coming from Derrick Nsibambi 10’, Samuel Ssekamatte 17’, Allan Katerrega 38’, Tito Okello 58’ 70’, Patrick Kaddu 85’.
KCCA right from the whistle blown showed determination through midfielder Katerrega who played in the right flank, his cross with the left foot was headed by Nsibambi into the net to open the scores.
Katerrega three minutes later laid one for Ssekamatte whose efforts was saved by goal keeper meanwhile two minutes later Sadam Juma’s header off Obenchan’s cross was calmly saved by the Masavu keeper.
Ssekamatte finally accessed the net to double KCCA lead at the 17th minutes off Katerrega’s pass before Katerrega himself scored the third goal at the 38th minutes with a low drive that hit the post before passing the goal line.
Tito Okello scored the fourth goal in the second half at the 58th minutes, his second of the season by tapping Kizza’s cross before completing his brace at the 70th minutes. Kaddu recorded the final statement with a powerful header off Kizza’s cross to convert the scores to six.
Masavu had a distinguished chance which went missed in the first half. The visitors’ penalty resulting from Timothy Awany holding the ball at the 28th minutes was blasted wide by the taker Ibrahim Ndugwa.
Sadam Juma amongst others could have scored too if not denied by the woodwork at the 32nd minutes as well Nsibambi’s name could appear on the score sheet twice if not for the same woodwork that frustrated his efforts at the 48th minutes.
The win elevates KCCA from eighth to fifth on the table as they have now won three, drawn four and lost one in eight games of the season. Meanwhile hopeless Masavu lies in the last spot on the table with four points, one win, one draw and six loses.
