Liverpool bounce back in a special manner from misery they endured a week ago as they spanked giant killer Huddersfield who tormented Manchester United the previous week.

Although the first half ended in a deadlock after Mohammad Salah’s penalty was saved by the salvation hands of Huddersfield keeper Jonas Lossl, the second half preserved three goals for the Kops.

Daniel Sturridge opened the scores five minutes after second half kickoff as Roberto Firmino doubled the lead before Georginio Wijnaldum closed the chapter of goals with the third one.

Whereas it was clear that Pochettino’s team missed the services of goal poacher Harry Kane as the visitors failed to score and had limited chances to score with one presenting itself to Dele Alli who though good but failed to fill in Kane’s shoe as his shot from Christian Eriksen’s cross went wide.

Jose Mourinho’s side is second on the table with twenty three points, seven wins, two draws and one lose. They will play their next fixture in the champions’ league on Tuesday 31st October against Benfica before visiting the Stamford Bridge on Sunday for a fixture against Chelsea.

Tottenham is third on the table with twenty points, six wins, two draws and two loses. They will play their next match in the champions’ league against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu on 1st November before returning to Wembley for a premier league fixture against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
