Onduparaka beat Express 2–1 in match day six of the Premier League at the Wankulukuku Stadium with goals from Leku and Okhuti.
Inspite of a goalless, and largely dominated first half by the home side, Onduparaka got a break through at the 46 minute with a goal from Alfred Leku.
Whereas Dan Sserunkuma who vigorously sought for goals finally leveled the scores at the 75th minutes from Mubarak Nsubuga’s cross before substitute Ceaser Okhuti restored the lead for the caterpillars at the injury time.
The former Express forward lasted in the pitch for less than 25 minutes before he was assisted by Viane who was involved in the opener to score the exceptional winning goal that could compete for the goal of the season to elevate the caterpillars to the top of the table and total his season goal tally to three.
Onduparaka now leads the table with 13 points, two points ahead of second place Vipers whereas Express remains ninth with seven points.
This first ever victory Onduparaka has against Express at Wankulukuku is the second time the Caterpillars beat the Red Eagles as one of their three meetings ended in a one all draw.
Meanwhile in Bombo, UPDF inspite of their early lead were held to a two all draw by struggling Masavu.
Walter Rubangkene scored within a minute after kick off whereas Noah Ddamba netted the leveler for the visitors.
The army team saw themselves a goal down after Abraham Ndugwa scored what could be a winner at the seventy third minute before Godfrey Saul Wakaza neutralized the results to 2-2 six minutes to full time.
UPDF takes the thirteenth place with five points equally as of Soana and BUL FC but the Bombo based club has a superior goal difference whereas Masavu still seats at the bottom of the table with four points, one win, one draw and four loses.
