Sekantuka and Joshua Kawadwa’s goals brighten the stars for Bright Stars as the Matugga based club beat Kirinya Jinja SSS 2–1.
Musa Esenu gave KJSSS the first lead just five minutes into the game before Sekantuka leveled the scores at the 30 minutes. Sheif Batte crossed very well for the former Proline striker to head the ball at the back of the net.
Substitute Joshua Kawadwa’s introduction at the 68 minutes to replace Banga Farouk was the solution for a win as the baby faced player made the difference few minutes later.
Sekantuka took a free kick which Tom Ikara punched and Kawadwa utilized the chance created by the rebound to finish the ball just by a tap and gave the home side the winning goal.
The victory means Bright Stars haven’t lost a game in the four fixtures and seats third on the table with six points, and three draws.
Whereas Kirinya Jinja SSS is sixth with five points after four games, one win, two draws and one lose.
Sekantuka will captain his side again in the next fixture in which they will face UPDF FC at the Bombo Barracks ground as Kirinya Jinja SSS will seek redemption from frustrated SC villa at the Bugembe Stadium, Jinja.
