Ronaldo scored twice as Real Madrid beat German giants Borussia Dortmund 3–1 in the champions’ League group stages at the Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund.
Gareth Bale opened the scores for the champions’ league defending champions as early as eighteenth minutes before he assisted Ronaldo to double their lead four minutes after the second half started.
Gabonian international Pierre Emerick Aubameyang pulled threat with their first which turned out to be the only goal at the 54 minutes from Gonzalo Castro’s assist before Ronaldo completed his brace to restore a doubled lead eleven minutes to full time.
Inspite of the win, Los Blancos lost the top of the table to English side Tottenham Hotspurs which thumped Cyprus giants Apoel 3–1.
Zinadine Zidane whose side seats second in group H of the champions league will play next Espanyol and then later Getafe in the Spanish La Liga before returning for a champion’s league fixture with Mauricio Pochettino’s boys on 17th October 2017.
