URA FC FOUGHT TO END GOAL DROUGHT IN THE UPL BY BEATING UPDF

URA ends the goal drought in match day one of the Uganda Premier League by beating UPDF 2–1 at Namboole.

The premier league that started yesterday with five matches amongst which four ended goalless with the exception of the Villa encounter with Soana in which left footed midfielder Tabu Vitalis scored the only today has seen at least three more goals in the the taxi collectors versus UPDF fixture.

Okot Fred opened the scores for the tax collectors at 44 minutes before Bokota Labama doubled their lead at 53 minutes. UPDF got a consolation at the 77 minutes through Walter Rubangkene.

Meanwhile at Wankulukuku Express and Kirinya Jinja match ended goalless as both teams shared one point each.

The namboole based side plays Kirinya Jinja next on Saturday at Bugembe stadium as UPDF will host KCCA FC at Bombo Barracks grounds.

Express FC will visit newly promoted side Mbarara City in western Uganda at the Kakyeka stadium.

However on a sad note, URA forward Henry Kisekka had a collision with UPDF player consequently fell unconscious. He was later rushed to the hospital.
