Tabu scored the only goal for Sports Club Villa against Soana FC to get their first victory of the season, which goal happens to be the only in match day one as every other team played zero all draw.
The left footed midfielder was introduced to replace Allan Kyambadee and later notched the valuable goal at the 72 minutes from a free kick.
Meanwhile Masavu versus Police fixture was not played because Masavu had unlicensed players and technical personal.
Similar scenario could take place in Jinja between Mbarara City FC and BUL FC, the team from western Uganda had ineligible players but the game was played at the mercy of Bul FC unlike in Masavu’s case where Police FC players protested against the game taking place although the match officials were ready to serve them.
Tabu Vitalis’ goal earns SC Villa three points putting them at the top of the table whereas Bright Stars, Bul FC, KCCA FC, Maroons FC, Mbarara FC, Onduparaka FC, Proline FC and Vipers SC follow systematically with one point each.
Match day one continues tomorrow with two games in which Uganda Revenue Authority will host UPDF FC at the Mandela National Stadium, kick off time 4:00pm meanwhile Kirinya Jinja SSS FC visit one of the traditional giants Express FC at the Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku, kick off time 4:30pm.
