Uganda Cranes beat Egypt at home in Kampala–Uganda before losing to the same side in Alexandria Egypt.
Some Uganda fans undermined Liverpool winger Mo Salah and wrote on manila cards as seen in the picture above that Salah couldn’t score against Uganda Cranes because the East African side isn’t Arsenal.
In the return leg yesterday, Salah scored the only goal that gave Egypt victory and denied the Cranes opportunity to spear head group E.
Amazingly some Ugandan–Liverpool fans who have fallen in love with Salah from the day he arrived at Anfield have scorned fellow countrymen because Salah finally scored.
Expectedly an Egyptian with the names Mohamed Khalid posted in Facebook an image of Ugandan fan at Namboole displaying manila card with writing Salah Can Score Arsenal not UG Cranes and reminded Ugandans of Salah’s assist for El-said during AFCON 2017.
Soccer 256 had an opportunity to interview an Egyptian national living in Uganda by the names Mubarak Saleh, Saleh expressed joy for Salah’s goal.
“I am too excited not only because Egypt beat the cranes but for Salah scoring because the way Ugandans undermined him at Namboole angered me. Salah is a world class player who deserves respect.” Said Saleh.
Salah’s goal gives Egypt their 15th win against Uganda in the 20 times they two sides have meet in history since 1962. Cranes have only managed to get two wins and three draws
