CRANES SUFFER DEFEAT WHEREAS GHANA WINS TREMENDOUSLY

Cranes suffered 1–0 defeat to Egypt in the return leg of 2018 FIFA world cup qualifiers at Alexandria.

Mo Salah gave Egypt an early lead at the sixth minute, the Liverpool player struck past Onyango after a defensive redundancy consequently affecting the confidence of the visitors in front of the intimidating Egyptian crowd.

The Cranes shockingly beat Egypt in Kampala five days ago courtesy of Emmanuel Okwi’s goal to lead group E with seven points.

However, in the return leg, Salah’s earlier first half goal turned out the winning goal to enable the Pharaoh to take charge of group E with nine points as the Cranes’ points remain stagnant.

Meanwhile earlier on during the day Congo Brazzaville was erased from the picture after Atletico Madrid’s midfielder Thomas Partey and Red Star Belgrade player Richmond Boakye struck hat-trick and brace respectively for Ghana in a match the black stars won 5–1.

Lloyd Ayet’s only goal was less of a consolation as the defeat leaves Congo at the bottom of the table with a point.

Ghana adds more three points to the two they collected from the draws against the Cranes and Congo in the first encounters.

The Cranes play the Black stars at Mandela National Stadium on 7th October 2017 whereas Egypt will verse hopeless Congo Brazzaville on the 8th of October 2017.
