WHAT RICHARD MAKUMBI SAID ABOUT HIS NEW CONTRACT WITH MBARARA CITY FC

Makumbi signed a one year contract today with Mbarara City FC which will keep him with the Western Uganda Club till 2018.

The Coach who was behind victory the Ankole lions had over Synergy to gain promotion to Uganda’s first tier league the Azam Uganda Premier League expressed happiness for the new development.

“I am very happy to have signed a new contract. We worked extremely hard to have the teams Promotion to Azam Uganda Premier League which I am proud of. Now we must work even harder to stay at the top flight.” Said Makumbi

Ankole regions people are excited about the news, given the fact that recent speculation linked him to Sadolin paints. Soccer 256 spoke to one of the fans with the name Alinatwe and these were his words;

“The top tier is a more competitive league and we’ve been worried because of our coach’s future, now that he has put paper to pen gives us confidence because he as an individual has been in the league before so his experience will help us thrive.”

Before coaching Mbarara City, Makumbi managed several other teams including Soana, Bul FC, Fire Masters, Bunamwaya, and Victors FC.
