TWO ONDUPARAKA PLAYERS TO MISS THE RETURN LEG AGAINST RWANDA

Uganda Cranes Striker Muhammad Shaban and defender Toha Rashid may not be available to face the Amavubi stars of Rwanda in the return leg of TOTAL CHAN 2018 Championship qualifiers this Saturday.

It’s reportedly said Toha is sick and suffering from Typhoid consequently not training well whereas his colleague Shaban is hit with injury again and possibly may not feature.

“Muhammad Shaban sustained a knee injury as he came on as a late sub against Rwanda, he is back in Arua, he also missed the Azam friendly due to the knee niggle, and with the look of things he will definitely miss the return fixture against Rwanda.” Said Otelul.

Meanwhile Timothy Awany who missed the first leg will be present to serve his country on Saturday. Speaking to the FUFA media this is what he had to say;

“I’m ready to join the rest in our bid to return to CHAN though I missed the first leg of the qualifier. I have only need to work hard that the coach considers me in the final squad”

Uganda Cranes played against Rwanda last Saturday at the St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende and beat the Amavubi stars three goals to nil courtesy of Muzamiru Mutyaba and Derrick Nsibambi goals.

The two countries will face each other again in the round two of the qualifiers on 19th August 2017 at the Kigali regional stadium, Nyamirambo.

Uganda Cranes goes for the fixture with advantage of three goals whereas Rwanda is expected to score more than four goals as they defend their post in order to qualify.
