Onduparaka beat Young Elephants of Nyowa district 4 – 1 at the Greenlight Stadium during their preseason build for the season 2017/2018.
The caterpillar display of the game over the team from Northern Uganda undermined their opponents as a result, the young elephants conceded four goals.
A starting lineup consisting of balanced new and old players such as Nicolas Sebwato, Aggrey Kirya, Aniko Osso, Vianney Ssekajugo and Karim Ndugwa; Sadam Norman, Muhammad Rashid, Ivan Mbowa, Ajobe Toto, Gadafi Wahab, and Agau set up a stage that gave glorious victory for the home side.
Both teams played goalless for 20 minutes before entertaining Agau Rashid hit the cross bar. Karim Ndugwa opened the scores with a header before he doubled his side’s lead from a spot kick.
Goal Keeper Sebwato’s bad tackle led to a penalty though he experienced an injury for which a treatment was delivered to him.
Young Elephants penalty taker sent the former SC Villa and Bright stars goal keeper the opposite direction to change the scores to 2 – 1.
The second half team led by Toha Rashid opened their scoring through Okhuti that adjust the scores to 3-1 as later on left footed Okocha’s cross was well targeted to Okwir who didn’t waste time but put the ball past the goal keeper.
The victory is third for Onduparaka after beating their young Onduparaka (Ondunyiri) 5-0 and Dei lion 1 – 0 a fort night ago.
