DERRICK NSIBAMBI SCORED TWICE AS KCCA LAYS DOWN STANLEY EGUMA’S RIVERS UNITED

Derrick Nsibambi scored two goals against visitors from Nigeria Rivers United to remain competitive in the Caf Confederation cup group stages.

After missing a valuable chance as early as 4th minute, Nsibambi opened the scoring for the home side at the 16th minute with the involvement of Vincent Kayizzi and Allan Okello.

Eighteen minutes later, Fredrick Obamate beat offside trap to cross as Bolaji Sakin strike a memorable volley into the roof of the net to level the scores.

The 22 – year – old Nsibambi restored KCCA glory at the 20th minute resulting from a Tom Masiko free kick.

Usual suspect Geofrey Sserunkuma and Tom Masiko had goal scoring opportunity unfortunately fate didn’t allow them

In their group as a result of the victory KCCA and FUS Rabat are now all six points each as FUS won their match against Club Africain 2 – 1.

However the Uganda side seats second on the table due to goal difference and FUS is seated first.

KCCA will play the return leg against Rivers united on June 21st at the Port Harcourt in Nigeria.
