Kcca Fc Defeats Proline For Fun In The Lugogo Derby

KCCA FC defeated Proline for fun at the Philip Omondi stadium in their second last fixture of the season. The first quarter of the full time was well spent in Proline’s zone however goalless.

Nelson Sekantuka first attempt for Proline went outside for goal kick by 22’ minutes, as a few minutes later the KCCA defense line comprising of Musamali, Magambo and Okot seemed settled.

Nasasira’s attempt to open goals was frustrated by Proline goal Keeper Bule who got injured in the process. Deadlock got broken by Veteran striker Robert Sentongo by 36’ with the assist from Vincent Kayizzi.

The introduction of Substitute Akinyemi in the beginning of first half to replace Muleme led to KCCA doubling their lead as the midfielder tapped in a goal resulting from Masiko’s free kick.

Earlier on Vincent Kayizzi’s effort to score was well disrupted by quite hard working Proline defense as Bule was already beaten long time.

Proline made efforts to make a breakthrough were frustrated due to the strong defensive hold built by the AUPL champions.

The Kasasiro boys seated at the top of the table, now increase their points to 63 after 29 games played whereas Proline remain stagnant in the 8th with  38 points after 29 games.

All teams are left with a game to play in the grand finale fixture designated to take place on Saturday 20th May with the Exception of SC Villa that will host URA on 19th May 2017 at the Masaka Recreational Centre.

KCCA will entertain relegated Sadolin Paints at the Philip Omondi Stadium, as Proline will Visit Kirinya Jinja SS.
