EPL table leaders Chelsea suffered socking two – one defeat at home to crystal palace. Midfielder Francesc Fabregas’s early goal by the 5th minute was not felt much as four minutes later Wilfried Zaha equalized. Christian Benteke quickly destroyed the Blues at Stamford Bridge by 11th minute. Inspite of lose, Chelsea still tops the table with a difference of 7 points ahead of Spurs which seats second with 62 points.
Meanwhile for Liverpool, Sadio Mane got the opener just 7 minutes after kickoff with a beautiful goal. Single handedly, the Senegalese got the ball around mid-pitch, ran past one opponent, took the left side of the field, overcame two more obstacles, and shoots diagonally across and inside post with his unusual foot. Everton’s Mathew Pennington who scored his first senior goal levelled the scores by 27th minute.
Unrelenting Philip Coutinho restored the lead for the home side, he curled a right footed shot high inside the post. Divock Origi who replaced Mane was helped by Coutinho to seal the deal with the third goal for the Kops. Win for Jurgen Klopp’s boys takes them to the third position on the table with 59 points.
Manchester United experienced a moment of frustration against Westbrom at Old Trafford. In the first half Anthony Martial came close to putting the Red devils ahead with his missed header that went wide from about 5 yards. Tottenham Hotspurs fought for an away win and surely got it, with a successful first half zero all draw and about 21 minutes of goalless play time, Eric Dier finally broke the deadlock, using the right foot, he shot from the center of the box to the top right corner from a corner kick. Burnley was weakened by the visitor’s second goal that came at 77’. Son Heung-Min left footed from the left side of the six yard box to the bottom left corner and took the scores to two.
In other premiership matches, Hull City beat West Ham by two goals to one, courtesy of Robertson 53’ and Ranoccia 85’ goals for the home team whereas Carroll 18’ for visitors. Leicester City beat Stoke city with two goals to zero, Ndidi 25’ and Vardy 47’ on the score sheet. Britos’ goal gave Watford victory over Sunderland and Southampton versus Bournemouth ended goalless.
