THE EAST AFRICAN GIGANTIC CLASH
Kampala- In 1976, they were crowned as champions of Kenya’s top soccer league after they finished at the top of the table unbeaten, 39 years later Gor Mahia re-wrote the history by becoming the unbeaten champions of the season reviving the fan base of Kenyan football league.
Like wise onduparaka revived the fan base of Ugandan football league with the leverage of their home local supporters and winning every home matches including beating all giant teams like KCCA, SC Villa, and Vipers.
Before the second half of the season begins, Onduparaka hosts Gor Mahia in an international friendly match which many people dubbed as,”the battle of the titans!” in Namboole stadium at 4pm on 4th February 2017 this Saturday.
According to the host team’s facebook post, Gor Mahia had landed safely at Entebbe airport two days before kickoff, and were welcomed by representatives of team Onduparaka.
Amongst the usually spectators will be the retired Colonel Dr. Kizza Besigye and it’s anticipated the match will attract a peculiar huge crowed as the home side supporters travelled all the way from Arua and other parts of Westnile to catch up with fans from central Uganda.
Tickets shall be sold at Soccer Net, Mabirizi complex and the stadium entrance on match day at 5,000 ordinary and 15,000 VIP.
